Insel-brauerei- Ubersee Hopfen- Japan

Jedno z piw które przywiozłem z Niemiec. Uwarzone przez w miarę nowy i bardzo spory browar Insel- Brauerei. Ponoć chmielą tylko mokrą szyszką itp itd. Na etykietach (wszystkich!) chwalą się "London 2016- 8x Gold!- world beer award- best deutsche brauerei".
Piwo ma co najmniej miesiąc. Stało dumnie na najwyższej półce w supermarkecie Sky niedaleko granicy, w związku z czym pewnie bym go nie wziął, gdyby nie dwa fakty- po pierwsze, było to jedyne co zakrawało na kraft. A po drugie, nie muszę się obawiać skunksa- wszystkie butelki z tego browaru są w całości opakowane w papier. Piwo ma termin przydatności do 28.02.2019!!! Jak na IPA... śmiało.
A jeszcze ciekawostka: większość piw od nich była robiona w stylach belgijskich (dubel, tripel, belgian strong ale, belgian blone, i chyba spiced saison)- i poza Ubersee Hopfen wszystkie miały "Baltic" w nazwie (przez co lekko się podjarałem widząc "baltic stout" z nadzieją że to porter bałtycki- niestety jest to FES).

Ubersee Hopfen- Japan (IPA) - Insel-Brauerei.

Wygląd:

Piwo bursztynowe, herbaciane, lekko zmętnione. Piana wysoka, biała, dosyć gęsta, znaczy szkło, zostaje grubą kołderką na powierzchni- chociaż oczywiście IPA glass temu sprzyja.

Kord Whisky BA, Hungarian Craft (with RIS and BW from Monyo!)+ Mikkeller, Omnipollo,etc.- Bottle share

Ok, this review (or maybe more like "first impressions") will be in english, because I got some beers from Hungary and I really want my friends that send me this beers to be able to understand what I'm talking about ;)

Dragon Fire- Imperial IPA- Pracownia Piwa
One of my favourite double IPAs was on tap. IPA with pepper. Every time I try this beer- its different. This time more oranges, slightly spicy, way more sweet than previous baths in my opinion, but still great.

Hallo, Ich bin berliner weisse (passion fruit)- Berliner Weisse- Mikkeller
Got a sample to try, nice, solid sour, but with nice fruity sweetness on beginning. Very good, very tasty berliner weisse. If you have a chance- go for it.

Than it was time to try out some Hungarian Craft.

BrewDog- Tokyo*

Tokyo*- Russian Imperial Stout (or 'intergalactic stout')- BrewDog
16,5% Imperial Stout with cranberry, jasmine, vanilia.
Today something special- not only mine review (described as M.) but also impressions from Lady J. She's not drinking too many beers, but we had some good stuff together. She's not into Imperial Stouts though. More like Imperial IPA's or sour beers. Or Samuel's Smith Organic Chocolate Stout (is there any woman that dont like this beer?)

Black beer, ruby reflexes, but even some tanned head on top (didnt expect that with 16% beer).

J: some jasmine in aroma, classic cocoa, chocolate, a little of acidy note like in kvass. Cant find the cranberries.

M: Jasmine for sure, hint of ash, lot of milk chocolate, vanilla, something like sweet cranberry. A little bit of booze.

Nøgne Ø- Imperial Stout

Dzisiaj klasyk z browaru z Norwegii. Nøgne Ø. Kraft wykupiony przez koncern (w związku z tym główny piwowar ich opuścił). Cóż.

I ichniejszy Imperialny Stout. Piłem już, w sumie niedawno, z kranu. Nie urzekł mnie, ale też nie skupiałem się na nim za bardzo. Dzisiaj wersja z buteleczki. Czeka u mnie już jakiś czas. O ile dobrze widzę, ta partia z której mam butelkę warzona była w styczniu tego roku.

Imperial Stout- Nøgne Ø

Zapach z butelki słodki, czekoladowy, z lekką nutą dymu.

W szkle piwo czarne, nieprzejrzyste, podczas nalewania widać było w strumieniu cieczy rubinowe przebłyski. Piana dosyć obfita jak na RISa, brązowa, średnie i drobne pęcherzyki, redukuje w widocznym gołym okiem tempie, ale nie znika natychmiast.
Podczas wlewania reszty piwa na dnie butelki pokazują się jakieś brzydkie gluty.

Monyo- American Beauty, Invisible Bikini, Hop Harvest, Flying Rabbit

Ok, international stout day is over, time to try some hungarian beers again!

American Beauty- American Pale Ale- Monyo Brewing

APA at 5,6% abv, 13,3 plato, 32 IBU, hopped with Warrior, Mosaic, Chinook.
To be honest, I'm not a fan of Warrior hop, it gives a little harsh bitter, but lets see.

Nice aroma from the bottle. Very sweet, caramel and very sweet fruits, than sweet citrus.

Light yellow almost clear beer, a lot of carbonation moving up the glass. White head, pretty big, but with medium and big bobbles.

Aroma from the bottle was pretty good. Unfortunately this from glass... not so much. I'm getting a weird, unpleasant smell. Something like... cat fur. Or maybe it's a little bit of sulfur? Not sure, it's either sulfur or oxidation, in both case, it's not pleasant. Also, I'm picking a little bit of green citrus. Mosaic. And smell of wet grain.

Monyo Brewing- Black Alligator

Ok, today second beer from Monyo Brewing, this time it's Black Alligator.
It's a Black Saison at 9% ABV, 17 Plato and 19,5IBU.

The first thing that worries me a little bit about this beer, is so much ABV from only 17 Plato. Ok, I know that saison yeasts are hungry mutherfuckers, but generally from what I know it's not technicly possible to get more alcohol than 1/2 of your starting Plato, unless some kind of freezing is involved. Altough in Poland you can have +/- 0,5% abv so if it applies also to Hungarian beers, it might have like 8,5%.

Nice label, as almost all of this from Monyo that I get.

Aroma from the bottle: very vineous, slightly smoky. A little bit of chocolate.

Monyo Brewing-Summer Syndrome

Today something that I've never done on my blog- review in english. It's because I dont give a fuck about my language mistakes, and I got 6 beers from Hungary. All of them- from Monyo Brewing. So, english reviews for my firends in Hungary, and let's start a week (maybe more than week, since there's international stout day on the way) with hungarian craft beers, more precisly- Monyo Brewing. Dont know much about brewery, I'll try to get some info soon. Altough, I'm lazy ass, so may be later than sooner.
I have to say one thing- all the labels are pretty nice, colourfull and you immediatly know it's a craft beer.
